Large-breed dogs require specialized nutrition to maintain lean muscle, joint health, and steady energy. Core Health provides a complete diet built around 100% meat-based protein and just 20% starch, respecting your dog’s natural carnivore needs.

This grain-free, legume-free formula eliminates plant proteins and anti-nutrients, ensuring your dog absorbs the nutrients they need. But without unnecessary fillers. With a carefully maintained calcium-to-phosphorus ratio of 1.2:1, this formula is safe for large-breed puppies, breeding females, and fully mature adults.

Added taurine supports heart health, while balanced amino acids and fats naturally promote a glossy coat and healthy skin. The high digestibility of this recipe helps maximize nutrient absorption, keeping your dog strong and active at every stage of life.

Because better nutrition supports long-term wellness, Core Health food may also help reduce future veterinary costs by preventing diet-related health issues.

Will be renamed to TruOmnivore Medium/Large Breed All Life Stages  in 2026.

I have a 55 lb "super mutt" 🙂 with a sensitive digestive system and, among other issues, reactions to dairy and eggs. After a limited-ingredient, novel protein diet didn't make much of a difference for her recurring symptoms, we tried Young Again since it has been a great brand for our cats' needs and overall health. While this food hasn't magically fixed all of our dog's symptoms, she has been noticeably more energetic since we transitioned to it and more eager to eat at mealtime than she had been in a long time. It's helped manage her weight (she was getting a little pudgy despite all the other issues!) between the nutrition itself and her increased activity level. I appreciate having a balanced food option that doesn't add unnecessary stuff (including dairy and eggs!) and that my dog loves. I don't know if antinutrients are an issue for her but, given her many digestive issues, I'm hopeful that more time on this food will only further improve (reduce) her symptoms and, either way, it's definitely helped her and is valuable for giving her the best quality of life.

My vet had recommended adding psyllium husks to my dog's diet because he consistently had very soft stools. Trying to hide the husks in pumpkin, yogurt, peanut butter, etc only worked for a while because he would eventually refuse the food. This food contains the husks and his stools are now normal.

Ramsey the Rottweiler approved of her first bag of YA kibble. For a dog that drops turds the size of clydsdale, it was nice to clean the yard and not need a reinforced steel shovel (just kidding, but the size of her stool really did get smaller). We decided to try YA because her stomach has become more sensitive with age, and we were dealing with unimaginable gas 24/7, inconsistent stool texture, and piles of vomit galore. The vet gave her a clean bill of health and suggested we switch to a more GI friendly dog food. The YA kibble checked all the boxes, and definitely seemed to help alleviate a lot of the symptoms she was having. Her prior kibble (from costco) had a reccomded daily feeding guideline of 5 cups for a dog her size. Aside from just having cleaner ingredients, I think the smaller portion size (2.75 cups) also alleviated some of her digestive issues associated with how much kibble she physically had to eat each day just to get the appropriate caloric intake. That said, after switching she also seems to always think that she is being starved and needs another 2 cups of food. Hoping that with time her brain/body adjusts to the smaller portion size because she has not puked a single time since switching to YA! Although its a little bit more costly to feed than her other dog food from Costco, its still fairly comparable price wise on an as fed basis, and the quality truly seems to be above and beyond anything you can buy from a box store. Best pet food company around! Our kitties love their YA kibble too and its been a real life saver (literally) as a house with multiple cats, including a diabetic kitty.

I have an old english sheepdog. I have been feeding her the core health for medium to large dogs for about 4 months now. I switched to this food because I trust the product after using the cat food. I wanted to see if it would help her coat. She looks very good and is maintaining a healthy weight. With her size at 65 pounds, I feed her 2 cups total a day which is about 1.5 cups less than her previous food ration. I noticed her stools are much smaller with this food. Another unplanned benefit is she's had no ear infections while on this food. Her ears are clear and in better shape now than when she began this food. I estimate that a 25 lb. bag lasts almost 2 months. This food has saved me one vet visit in the past 4 months due to her ears clearing up on their own so with that benefit this food is well worth it. I am very pleased and my dog loves the food. I highly recommend it.
